@Loki, Lool, you use 2 Muslims who supposedly lie in their speeches, and conclude that "these examples are enough to prove how Taqiya is essential for practising muslims."

Firstly, even if these two did do that, you can't analyse a religion based on the followers. In the same way, you can't analyse (for example) the teachings of atheism based on a few atheists.

Secondly, actually prove your preconcieved notion of Taqiya by citing scholarly references, not a Robert Spencer or Ibn Warraq book. They're not Islamic sources. (Tip: don't try and re-invent the wheel by trying to derrive Islamic laws yourself when you are probably not qualified to do so, as fuqaha have already derrived rules).

Pathetic attempt. Wish you had put in long hours for something productive, not pointing out(supposed) mistakes in one religion in order to devilify the other.
What's the use of this when we have examples of Zakir Naik and Deedat lying openly in their speeches, giving other religions bad names etc. These examples are enough to prove how Taqiya is essential for practising muslims.

What a thorough and well-written article. (I sincerely mean that)

Towards the end, I was almost convinced that it's been the Jews attacking everybody all these years. ;)

Just a small comment...not really interested in having a conversation.

While I found your article well written and well researched (I assume you did the best you could) the excerpts you pull etc. about the Jewish faith are obviously mentioned with an ignorance of Jewish customs and laws. (No offense meant with this...I really wouldn't expect you to really understand them since you have no real reason to. )

Just one major example: The Kol Nidre prayer said every Yom Kippur nullifying oaths for the coming year are for one reason only: We realize that we may make an oath (it's as simple as doing an extra to a good deed three days in a row) and accidentally break it (by not doing it on the fourth day). Thus, the request is that because we do not wish to sin in the coming year, all oaths that we make should be null and void before it leaves our lips or actions. It does not mean that if we promise to do something we can sit back and relax because we didn't make a vow.

Like I said: good research just some flaws which are to be expected.

(Jewish Law actually has many more minutiae than people realize when they quote those "terrible Talmud texts" etc. {Actually the quotations themselves shows a basic ignorance on the part of the quoter since the commentary is essential to the understanding; and there is plenty of commentary to go around.})

The funny thing is that all the Jewish and Christian examples you gave were for saving someone’s FEELINGS from getting hurt,

It was the same for the Islamic examples quoted as well, ironically enough. Oops, looks like somebody didn't bother to read the entire article before bravely trying to refute it.

whereas Islam gives examples of war, hatred and annihilation of the infidel.

No it doesn't. That is a lie. Or maybe it isn't a lie, and is just plain ignorance; as perpetuated by demagogues like Robert Spencer.

So, you don’t want anyone to hate on Moosies, but you want to hate on everyone else.

First, wtf is a Moosie? Is it supposed to be short for Mooslim? Secondly, you're judging an entire article by its title. Real mature. Surprisingly enough, there is no hate found anywhere on that article. *GASP!*

"Try to malign"!

Ha! Loonwatch has Christian and Jewish writers and readers so I find that hard to believe. Anyway, you couldn't respond to any of the evidence presented in this article.

The point was to refute Spencer's garbage that Islam is unique in this issue when in fact his own religion advocates the same or worse.

But it wasn't just a comparison, the actual claims presented by Islamophobes against Islam were responded to as well.
