A selection of Spencer quotes:

-On Islam and Muslims:

“When a nuclear-powered Islamic Republic of France threatens the U.S., however, some Americans may come to regret the ease with which they swallowed and even propagated defamation and lies about anti-jihad European politicians such as Geert Wilders.”[1]

“It’s absurd” to think that “Islam is a religion of peace that’s been hijacked by … extremists”[2]

“I have written on numerous occasions that there is no distinction in the American Muslim community between peaceful Muslims and jihadists. While Americans prefer to imagine that the vast majority of American Muslims are civic-minded patriots who accept wholeheartedly the parameters of American pluralism, this proposition has actually never been proven.” [3]

“I have maintained from the beginning of this site and before that that there is no reliable way to distinguish a “moderate” Muslim who rejects the jihad ideology and Islamic supremacism from a “radical” Muslim who holds such ideas, even if he isn’t acting upon them at the moment. And the cluelessness and multiculturalism of Western officialdom, which make officials shy away from even asking pointed questions, only compound this problem.” [4]

“Islam itself is an incomplete, misleading, and often downright false revelation which, in many ways, directly contradicts what God has revealed through the prophets of the Old Testament and through his Son Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh… For several reasons… Islam constitutes a threat to the world at large.” [5]

“We wanted Catholics to become informed about Islam because not only is Islam the church’s chief rival in terms of religion but Islam is a serious threat to the peace and well-being of the Western world in general,” [6]

“Islamic loyalty supersedes nationalism, and it is impossible to tell where any given believer’s loyalties actually lie”[22]

– On Keith Ellison taking Oath on Quran:

“I hope there will be some who have the courage to point out that no American official should be taking an oath on the Qur’an, since—as we have been pointing out here for over three years now—there are so many elements of traditional and mainstream Islam that are at variance with our system of government, our Constitution, and our entire way of life. But since that is blandly denied and unexamined by the mainstream media and government officials, it is much more likely that Qur’anic oath-taking will be allowed without any discussion at all.” [7]

“There’s an unwillingness by Muslims to coexist as equals with other religions, and they conduct a very energetic worldwide missions campaign,” he said. “Instead of Europe being Catholic as it was in the Middle Ages, in terms of demographic trends, it’s set to be come Muslim Europe.” [8]

– At a rally for Rifqa Bary as reported by reporter Michael Kruse:

“Robert Spencer, who writes on a blog called Jihad Watch, told reporters Islam was here to take over America.” [9]

“The term “Islamo-Fascists” no more blames the religion of Islam than the term “Italian Fascism” blames Italy for fascism. It merely refers to those Muslims—who obviously really exist—who invoke Islam to justify violence and supremacism, whether they are invoking Islamic doctrines correctly or not.” [10]

-“the idea of suicide in the cause of jihad is no innovation.” [11]

– On Obama:

Q: Do you think President Obama is actually a Muslim?

Robert Spencer: “He identifies himself as a Christian now but it is perhaps salient to note that a Muslim can identify himself as a Christian because Jesus Christ is a Muslim prophet in the Quran, and the Muslims consider themselves to be the true Christians as well as the true Jews, following the true teachings of Jesus and Moses and so it is not out of the realm of possibility that some individual, or possibly Barack Obama could be a Muslim and be identifying himself as a Christian without even meaning to, uh, say that he is a member of the classic Christian tradition, now he has never been questioned about this and challenged about this and so ultimately only he knows the answer to what he really believes, but certainly his public policies and behavior are consistent with him being a committed and convinced Muslim.” [12]

– On Turkey:

-“Free Constantinople. 500 years of occupation is enough!” [13]

– On Support for other Extremists:

-“[Debbie] Schlussel and [Pamela] Geller are freedom fighters, warriors for human rights” [14]

-Commenting on a Hindu extremist telling a large crowd that one day “Pakistan will be wiped off the map.”

“The girl is right: do not fear. Fight back against the jihad. Fear hands the jihadis a weapon.” [15]

– Support for Fascist Geert Wilders:

“I support [Geert] Wilders. And so should anyone who holds dear the Western values that are threatened by Islamic supremacists.” [16]

– Endorsing the Christian polemical work “Anti-Christ: Islam’s Awaited Messiah,” by Joel Richardson:

“A fascinating and provocative work. Joel has definitely expanded the frontiers in the ongoing exploration of the relationship between Islam and the rest of the world. A must read for priests and pastors, students and lay readers everywhere. Bravo!” [17]

– Echoing the rallying cry of the Crusaders:

“God wills it!” [18]

– In reference to Danios of LoonWatch Spencer wrote:

“The slick liar who penned that piece ought to get 100 lashes” [19]

– Another time he upped the ante:

“The slick liar who penned that piece ought to get 101 lashes” [20]

-On Mosques:

“it is entirely reasonable for free people to oppose the construction of new mosques in non-Muslim countries. ”[21]

“Please do what you can today to support Robert Spencer in these hard times. Every dollar will pay off by amplifying his passionate, REASONED VOICE against building this particular mosque on this particular site and by allowing him to bring this battle to a head. ”

    Spencer reasoned?! Hilarious!

  2. On mosques:

“it is entirely reasonable for free people to oppose the construction of new mosques in non-Muslim countries. ”

    accusations of dual loyalties:

“Islamic loyalty supersedes nationalism, and it is impossible to tell where any given believer’s loyalties actually lie”

  3. ” certainly his public policies and behavior are consistent with him being a committed and convinced Muslim”

Yeah, like gays in the military.

Seriously, can this anti-muslim hate movement get any more idiotic?

  4. I think spencer is going about this all wrong ive said it once and I will say it again the best way for him to fight his imagenery enemy of all arabs or anybody who practices islam is to find a way to abolish the algebra numerical system, sure our ability to use basic mathamatics will be hindered and most likely future generations wont know what two plus two is but we wont be using some of there written language so the muslim terrorist math teachers wont activate there sleeper “stealth jihadits” especially ones who are known to volunteer in soup kitchens to feed the homless, or donate organs to people who need them whenever they solve an equation of five times five.
